Get directions to the campus or to the department

Directions to the Department:

From the Beltway (I495): Take Exit 25B. Go south on U.S. Rt. 1 for two miles to the University's Campus Drive entrance, which will be on your right. Make a right onto Campus Drive, then continue to the Traffic Circle with a big M in flowers. The Physics Building is on your right.

To park: There are 2 options.
Parking Option 1: Upon entering the Main (north) entrance to campus from Route 1, stay in your right lane, which will force you onto the first right, Paint Branch Drive. About 2 blocks on the left there is a Pay Parking Lot for Visitors where you take a ticket from the entrance machine and pay the attendant when you leave according to the time you're there.

Parking Option 2: Instead of turning onto campus at the Main (north) entrance, continue half a block and turn into the driveway to the Visitors Center. There you can obtain a one-day permit for Lot B, which is in the parking garage on Regents Drive diagonally across from the Physics Bldg. (They will give you a campus map so you can see how to get to the garage.) [Note, however, that there are other lots in that garage (RR and 5) for which your permit is NOT allowed.]
