The University of Maryland MRSEC grants ended in September 2013 after 17 years of successful operation. This site remains as a history of the center, but will not be actively maintained.

Shared Experimental Facilities

The University of Maryland MRSEC supports major Shared Equipment Facilities for cutting-edge materials research. These SEF's provide critical infrastructure for sample fabrication, compositional and multi-scale structural analysis. Each SEF is expertly staffed, equipped and maintained for efficient operation. SEF's are accessible to users from the Center, participating organizations, and other organizations and sectors. Cooperative arrangements with the Maryland NanoCenter and academic departments ensure efficient operation and the broadest possible usage.
