Lab Tours: Transmission Electron MicroscopyThe tours of the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) will include demonstrations using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy to investigate the structure of nanomaterials synthesized in the MRSEC. We will also use energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy to obtain the composition of the different areas of the sample. These results help us understand the role between processing conditions, structure, and properties of the materials. The demonstrations will be carried out using our new field emission microscope. |
