~ Art, Science, and Engineering Camp ~

Dates: July 30 - August 3, 2007

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Location: University of Maryland, College Park

Discover how scientists use nature to create your world! This camp is designed for students entering grades 6-8 with an interest in exploring the relationship among arts, science, and engineering. The camp will include:

Topics:

Drawing and Design
Problem-solving skills
Structures in nature and engineering
Discover the link between the art in nature and modern technology
Learn how engineers use nature as template for fabricating modern technology

Hands-on Activities:

Art and science projects
Daily sketching
Experimentation materials and media
Design and build structures

Special Features:

Field trip to the National Zoo in Washington, DC
Field trip to the College Park Aviation Museum
