Roller Coaster Workshop

This is a great camp for middle school students who enjoy building. Campers will spend a week working on roller coasters made out of K’Nex building blocks. The design skills gained from this experience will be supplemented with an introduction to mechanics so that the campers get a good feel for what some engineers do. Topics covered include how to measure velocity, the concept of acceleration and then conservation of energy and how it applies to roller coasters. This camp will run from July 17-21, 2006 from 9am-4pm each day.
