~ Math for Physics Workshop ~
High School: Math Camp
Jump Start! This camp is designed for students entering high school physics with a desire to improve their math skills for science.
Camp Includes:
- Instructors from distinguished and recognized GK-12 Teaching Fellows Program who are graduate students in math and physics at the University of Maryland
- Activities that were developed using Prince Georges County Science and Math Guidelines
- Activities that focus on:
- Units and Measurement
- Equation Solving
- Graphing Skills
- Graphing with Excel
- Geometry
- Trigonometry
- Mainly hand-on and visual activities. Outdoor activities included!
Benefits:

- Get a head start on your fall physics class from this highly effective and applicable workshop.
- An instructor from the workshop will be present in your child's physics class this fall and spring, working with the teachers, to re-emphasize concepts, strategies, and skills taught in the workshop.
