~ Math for Physics Workshop ~

High School: Math Camp

Jump Start! This camp is designed for students entering high school physics with a desire to improve their math skills for science.

Camp Includes:

Instructors from distinguished and recognized GK-12 Teaching Fellows Program who are graduate students in math and physics at the University of Maryland
Activities that were developed using Prince Georges County Science and Math Guidelines
Activities that focus on:

Units and Measurement
Equation Solving
Graphing Skills
Graphing with Excel
Geometry
Trigonometry

Mainly hand-on and visual activities. Outdoor activities included!

Get a head start on your fall physics class from this highly effective and applicable workshop.
An instructor from the workshop will be present in your child's physics class this fall and spring, working with the teachers, to re-emphasize concepts, strategies, and skills taught in the workshop.
